There's this weird feeling sitting in my chest right now, and I'm not entirely sure what to do with it.
I started translating this novel on day 1 in April of 2024. Just another web novel to translate, right?
But somewhere between the first regression and the final choice on that rooftop, between all those deaths and resurrections and the slow, painful crawl toward something that might actually be called hope, this story became something different. Something that mattered.
It's been months of sitting in that small room, carrying something between two worlds. Some days the words came easily. Other days I stared at a single paragraph for hours, trying to figure out how to make you feel what I felt when I first read it. Trying to make sure that when Undertaker finally chose the narrow gate, when Sinnoa promised to watch over their story forever, you'd understand why that moment made my hands shake a little.
The main story is done now. Undertaker and all the others made their choice. They chose to trust, to believe that maybe, just maybe, the cycle could break. That's kind of the point, isn't it? That's what makes it beautiful and terrifying in equal measure.
But I do know this: you've been here. Through 439 chapters of pain and hope and impossible choices, you've been here. And that means something. To me, definitely. Maybe to you too.
There's still the side stories ahead, still a few more chapters to tell before we really close this book. But the main journey, the one that started with a regressor who'd seen too much death and a reader who refused to let the story end badly, that journey is complete.
Thank you for walking this road with me. Thank you for waiting when updates were slow, for commenting, for telling me that sometimes these translations made your day a little better. You're why I kept going when the work got hard. You're why I'm sitting here now, finally typing these words I've been thinking about for months.
A huge thank you to LiteraryGirl who helped edit majority of the story and gave it that extra charm.
Let's see this through to the very end together, yeah?
